The Putman Family YWCA was recognized in the latest issue of Award magazine for its endeavour to become the leading social and sustainable project.
Robin Brunet spoke with KMAI’s Irene Rivera and Esther van Eeden, as well as the owner. He writes about how the project overcame some of the owner’s initial concerns.

“The capital cost uplift originally estimated at seven to eight percent came closer to two percent, with the building expected to realize energy savings of about 70 to 80 percent and annual greenhouse gas emissions reductions of 25 percent.”
