Kearns Mancini’s design for one of Bank of Montreal’s commercial offices delivered a sophisticated working environment designed to the latest networked hoteling standards.
Kearns Mancini Architects, in joint venture with M Moser Associates, were retained to provide full architectural services for the design, construction documentation and contract administration of one of BMO’s commercial office spaces. Located in a Class-A commercial office tower at 250 Yonge St., Kearns Mancini and M Moser developed a prototypical project and implemented a new set of guidelines for office interiors developed for the Bank of Montreal’s international portfolio.
The new guidelines were developed alongside client input, resulting in a much needed contemporary design approach for the client to utilize in all of its corporate interiors.
Kearns Mancini assisted the Bank of Montreal in refining their program and space layout. Our expertise was critical in the development of custom millwork, detail drawings and a full construction document package.

As the office areas are designed according to a hoteling principle, the project goal is to provide a positive working environment and networked work areas which meet the diverse needs of various end users. The project includes the latest advanced intelligent systems for lighting and comfort control to create comfortable, productive work spaces. The 250 Yonge Street office is part of Kearns Mancini’s ongoing relationship with BMO; the firm is currently the LEED Standards developer and Design Architect for the bank.
From the beginnings of working with both Tony, Jonathan, and the teams, I have appreciated the creative, thorough and responsible methods that have been brought to address our appearance standards, retail design, functional planning, design development, and construction detailing.
